DAY 3, The Tower Bridge

Today we decided to visit the Tower Bridge.  This is not to be mistaken for the London Bridge, which was sold to a gentlemen in 1968 and moved, piece by piece to......Arizona.  I must admit, I did not know that and find it to be rather amazing!  It was put back together when the pieces (which were numbered) arrived in Arizona, and now spans Lake Havasu in Lake Havasu City, Arizona!

Many, many people cross the Thames on foot to get from Tower Hill to Southwark, so we decided to, too!  We also climbed the 250 steps to get a great view and learn a lot about the bridge, which happens to be opening on Wednesday, May 6th!  THREE TIMES!!  Here are some pics:
Tower Bridge SELFIE!

At the top bridge there is a glass floor - pretty scary, but Geof and I both dared each other to have a seat!

This is a panoramic from the Tower  Bridge of the Thames.  On the left is the Shard - the tallest building in London, and on the right you can spot the St. Paul's Cathedral dome!

We moved to the engine room - Geof was in heaven!!

Tomorrow a day in BATH!
